Brow & forehead lift, serving Scottsdale & the Valley

Brow lift procedures at Xynwell restore a naturally elevated brow position, soften forehead heaviness, and create a brighter, more rested appearance. Every procedure is thoughtfully tailored to your anatomy, hairline, and facial balance — using the surgical technique best suited to your goals.

What a brow lift addresses

Over time, the brows naturally descend, contributing to a tired, heavy, or stern appearance. Brow descent can also create upper-eyelid hooding that is sometimes mistaken for excess eyelid skin alone. A brow lift restores a more youthful brow position while preserving natural facial expression.

A brow lift may improve

  • Low or sagging eyebrows
  • Forehead heaviness
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Glabellar frown lines
  • Upper-eyelid hooding caused by brow descent

What a brow lift does not treat

It does not replace neuromodulators for dynamic expression lines, restore facial volume, or improve skin texture — and it does not replace upper blepharoplasty when excess eyelid skin is the primary concern.

Many patients benefit from combining a brow lift with upper blepharoplasty for balanced upper-face rejuvenation.

The Xynwell approach

Which brow lift is right for you?

The ideal brow lift depends on your brow position, forehead height, hairline, skin quality, and overall facial balance. Treatment is individualized to your anatomy — never a one-size-fits-all technique.

The two brow-lift techniques side by side: a trichophytic (hairline) brow lift uses an incision along the hairline for maximum lift while preserving or lowering a high hairline, and a temporal brow lift uses a small incision in the temple to elevate the outer (lateral) brow.

Because brow descent can mimic excess eyelid skin, careful diagnosis is essential. Every consultation evaluates brow position, forehead anatomy, hairline, skin quality, and the relationship between the brows and upper eyelids — so the recommendation fits your anatomy, not a standard formula.

Who is a candidate?

Good candidates are healthy adults bothered by heavy or drooping brows, forehead heaviness, or upper-eyelid hooding caused by brow descent. Whether a brow lift is appropriate depends on your anatomy, brow position, hairline, skin quality, and overall facial balance.

Many patients seek treatment because they feel they appear tired, stern, or older than they feel — not because they want to look different.

Recovery and what to expect

Recovery depends on the technique performed. Your recovery timeline and postoperative instructions are individualized for your procedure.

  1. 1

    1–2 weeks

Most return to public-facing activities — around one week after a temporal lift, closer to two after a trichophytic lift.

  2. 2

    First several weeks

Swelling and bruising gradually improve; temporary scalp numbness near the incision is common and eases with healing.

  3. 3

    Following months

Final brow position continues to refine into a naturally elevated, rested result.

Results

Lifted and rested — still like yourself

A well-performed brow lift restores a naturally elevated brow position without creating an exaggerated or surprised appearance. Patients often notice brighter, more open eyes, reduced upper-face heaviness, and a more rested expression — while still looking like themselves. Results are long-lasting, although natural aging continues over time.

Frequently asked questions

Will I look surprised or overdone?

No. The goal at Xynwell is natural facial balance — not an overly elevated or permanently surprised appearance. Brow position is individualized to your anatomy and facial proportions.

How is a brow lift different from upper blepharoplasty?

A brow lift elevates the brows and forehead. Upper blepharoplasty removes excess upper-eyelid skin. Because brow descent often contributes to eyelid hooding, many patients benefit from careful evaluation of both areas. See Upper Blepharoplasty.

Will surgery raise my hairline?

No. The trichophytic brow lift is specifically designed to preserve — and when appropriate, lower — a naturally high hairline. During your consultation, your hairline and forehead proportions are carefully evaluated to determine the technique that will produce the most balanced result.

How long do results last?

Brow lift results are long-lasting. Individual longevity depends on the surgical technique, anatomy, and the natural aging process, with trichophytic brow lifts generally providing the greatest durability.

Can a brow lift be combined with other procedures?

Yes. Brow lift is frequently combined with upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, or other facial rejuvenation procedures when appropriate to create balanced, harmonious results.
